Broken Ideas
I have uploaded some of my work I've been doing at college in SoundCloud. Each song has some inspiration, from a band I listen to such as Linkin Park, Motionless in White or Korn, behind it. I have made 6 songs and uploaded them in SoundCloud in the Broken Ideas playlist.
Idea 1
This was created around the guitar I was learning how to create better guitar patterns. Overall I'm not very happy with the final product because I feel like I could have played around with the chord progression more. I have since gained more knowledge with making music and would be able to improve the drums, guitar and bass.
Idea 2
This was created with inspiration from the band Motionless in White and their song 'Masterpiece'. This gave me some insight on new ways to make music and new music combinations such as the synth.
Idea 3
This was the first track I ever created I had to incorporate handclaps we recorded in a lesson and create a composition around it. I was inspired by Korn's song Blind. There are a lot of parts I missed on the track due to my lack of experience now with the knowledge I have now I can improve this.

This was inspired by Linkin Park who are my biggest musical influence. I was thinking about Papercut from Hybrid Theory when I made the track. I like this track because I have had a few compliments where people have said it's like Linkin Park which was the aim I was going for. I would definitely like to make this into a full song and improve it.
Idea 5
I pushed myself to create a Hip Hop song, I have no knowledge in Hip Hop so this was interesting and fun to experiment with. I was quite happy with the final product because it was a change from what I usually create, and I have no prior knowledge with creating Hip Hop music.
Idea 6
This was inspired by Avenged Sevenfold and their song 'Hail to the King' I'm happy the way this turned out because it has shown how much I have learned and improved within my course. The guitar parts were a happy accident from experimentation.
